By the end of the first game all the stiffness was out of them, they felt comfortable and broken in. I had to change my approach because i wasn't used to being able to push off with my right foot so much. I found myself pushing too hard and actually twisting my body. Also there are several different soles available besides the two that come with the shoes. Something to consider and look into. I really like these shoes and don't think i can go back to standard bowling shoes.
